Skincare Sunday: Current morning skincare routine #1

Hey lovelies!!

Another week, another Skincare Sunday!

My skincare routine varies, depending on what my skin is crying out for. At the minute, I’ve been trying to brighten my tired looking skin that has looked a bit dull due to lack of sleep.

I’m up each morning at 6.00am. I’m far from a morning person, so at that time, I don’t have the mental capacity for a complicated routine and just crave something quick and effective and concentrate a lot more on my evening routine.

In the shower, I clean my skin with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser. I like this as I like the feel of a wash on my face in the morning to waken me up. It helps purify the skin and eliminate impurities and excess sebum without overly drying my skin.

For the mornings when my skin looks particularly dull, I’ve been using my deluxe sample version of Ren Flash 1 minute Facial. I apply a thin layer of this over a clean face and activate the Vitamin C ingredient by massaging the product with damp finger tips. I leave it on for, you guessed it, one minute and rinse off. It helps my skin look firm, toned and radiant.

Post shower, I tone my face with Clarins camomile toning lotion for normal to dry skin. This helps ensure I’ve removed any product residue that I may have missed, whilst freshening my skin and prepping it for the next skincare steps.

Following the toner, it is ordinarily the serum step. I’ve been dealing with some breakouts around my forehead and nose, so I’ve been reaching for La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo. I apply a few blobs of this to my t-zone area, and I think it’s made a good difference in both clearing and preventing any breakouts in this area.

Next, I add a thin layer of Clarins Special Eye Contour balm to each eye which is incredibly moisturising.

The final step is to add a few blobs of Clarins Multi Active Day cream to moisturise. I’ve used this moisturiser on and off for a few years now and it’s become a real staple product in my skincare routine. I love the scent and my skin absorbs it really well.

Please let me know what products you love to use in your morning skincare routine!!
