Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palettes- Too Faced and I Heart Makeup

Hello lovelies!

It’s no secret that I love a good luxury brand and product. However, that being said, I really enjoy find and exploring more affordable drugstore alternatives and dupes when they come my way – the money saved means more make up right?

This week I thought I would share my thoughts on the comparison of two chocolate bar eyeshadow palettes – the cult original from Too Faced and a more recent offering from Makeup Revolution’s sister brand, I Heart Make Up, Death By Chocolate palette. Although the shades in each palette are not the same, there are still many similarities.

Highlighter Edit Part 2 – Drugstore Gems

Hello lovelies!!

A little while back I published my high-end highlighter edit here and promised it would be followed up with a drugstore/affordable counterpart.

The drugstore market have really upped their game on the highlight front in the last year with some super affordable options hitting the market that give the high-end products a serious run for their money. Below is a list of my favourites so far.

Irish Brand Focus #1 – NIMA Brushes

Hello lovelies!

Over the years, Ireland has produced some fantastic beauty brands that really deserve more publicity and hype. I think that it is super important to support and champion our own homegrown, local brands, so, over the course of 2017, I have decided to feature at least 12 Irish beauty brands/suppliers on the blog that I really believe are worth checking out.

I was very kindly sent some make up brushes from the Irish brand, NIMA Brush before Christmas to try out. This was what really kickstarted my Irish brand focus idea as I was so impressed with the quality of this lesser known brand’s brushes.

NIMA Brush is the brainchild of Irish make up artist, Niamh Martin who has over 15 years experience in the industry. Niamh wanted to provide a range of professional standard tools that were both affordable and long lasting. The brushes are manufactured using the most natural fibres and strongest brush ferrules which help prevent the brush from shedding after cleaning.

Kylie Cosmetics Kyliner Review

Hello lovelies!!

Unless you have been living under a rock, you will have noticed that Kylie Jenner is pretty much killing it in the cosmetics world. It seems that each time a new product launches, it is almost inevitable that it will be an instant sell out – creating a real level of hype around the products – clever eh?

I’ve tried several of the products (I plan a full brand focus post in the coming weeks) and one of my most recent acquisitions was one of her Kyliner kits in the shade bronze.

Skincare Sunday – Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment

Hello lovelies!

I had used a few deluxe samples up of this wondrous treatment throughout the course of last year. Like most Sunday Riley products, this comes with hefty price tag (£85) which really put me off picking up a full sized bottle when I ran out completely.

Fortunately, in my wonderful (but ridiculously generous) Christmas gifts, I was very lucky to find a bottle of the Good Genes Treatment under the tree on Christmas morning.

Happy New Year!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!!!

Unfortunately, December proved to be impossible for blogging for me. I had an exam to study for, a very busy work and social calendar and was unfortunately struck down not once but twice with different nasty infections. In fact, I am currently writing this post from bed as I am still recovering from my second infection which completely wiped me out.

Anyway, enough moaning! I really hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I had a beautiful time spending quality time with family and playing with the puppy. I was spoilt rotten by everybody as usual – plenty of new beauty products to keep me going for a few months at least!!

My little sister and I spent plenty of time playing with each other’s make up – how amazing is hers for a thirteen year old?! I certainly didn’t have those skills at that age! Tide mark lines and concealer lips anyone?

I have some really exciting posts planned for this month, so please tune in to keep up.

Happy New Year once again! I hope 2017 brings you all much happiness and health.
