Last Minute Christmas Gift Guide: Irish Brand Edition

Ireland have some of the best brands and I think that it’s really important that we all try to support local businesses and brands where possible so this year, I’ve decided to share my picks for a gift guide exclusively featuring local, Irish brands!

Now I am aware that this gift guide is going up later than expected, but I’ve had a pretty manic few weeks and the best laid plans often go astray. Many of these items will still be available (or alternatives from the same brands) so you can also treat this as a gift guide for spending your Christmas cash in the New Year! 🙂

Field Day have a beautiful range of candles in their range. I am a particular fan of fresh, clean scents so adore their “Sea” candle with notes of bergamot and lemon The large candles from Field Day have an impressive 40 hours of burn time and for just £13.95 they are an absolute steal for a luxury candle.

This year BPerfect have come out with a  great value offering in the form of the 10 Second Tan Gift Set which also includes their luxury tanning mitt and their hit Concealer and Highlighter. If like me, you’re looking like a bit of a ghost at this time of the year, this will come in handy over the festive period to give you a beautiful golden glow. Priced at £24.99 with an RRP of £41.98 for the contents, this is one hell of a bargain. Still available online at time of writing and in Gordon’s Chemists.

Another local tan offering to help your tanorexic friend or family member feel good in the new year comes in the form of this great value gift box from Lusso Tan. This set contains both the Perfecting Primer and Tanning Lotion to help ensure a perfect finish. Priced at £25.00, you’ll save £10.00 than if you were to buy the products separately. I would stock up on this for NYE!

If you know a gin enthusiast why not consider picking up a bottle of Copeland Gin’s delicious limited edition Spiced Apple and Blackcurrant Gin if it’s not too late? All of Copeland Gin’s mixes contain locally sourced fruit and botanicals. It is recommended that this particular gin is paired with tonic water, orange rind and a cinnamon stick. Festive drinks at their best. Alternatively I would be pleased to find a bottle of their Rhuberry gin under my tree in time to ring in the New Year!

For the fashion conscious family member, I absolutely adore this leather handbag by Zohara in navy. At £149.00 I know it’s a splurge for a gift guide, but Christmas is a time to splash out and spoil those you love if you can afford to. This bag looks so chic and would go with most outfits. Wear across body or use at night as a large statement clutch! Alternatively, if you can’t get your hands on it before Christmas, why not treat yourself or a loved one to this in January with your Christmas money?

For the man in your life, why not add a touch of class and luxury to their wardrobe by picking out a stunning silk tie or leather jacket wallet. Remus Uomo have some beautiful tie prints and a gift like this will not only be special but will last for years. Call into their Victoria Square store to check out the range!

Know a cooking enthusiast? Or perhaps somebody who needs to learn? Why not pick up a voucher for the ever popular Forestside Cookery School. The school offers a wide range of classes including Spanish, Seafood and Shellfish along with Festive Christmas Classes!

Finally, everybody loves a good hamper at Christmas time. The excitement of digging into the box to see what goodies await is as good as opening the presents under the tree. This local company offer gift boxes full of artisan made Northern Irish food. I would love to see one of these boxes, particularly the NI Chocolate box, at my door in the run up to Christmas!

So there we have it, even if there isn’t time to get some of these items, there is still the option of treating yourself or a loved one in the New Year. Particularly if you have any of those pesky January birthdays coming up…

Thanks for reading!

  1. This is helpful! I love the Zohara bag, but would love to know an alternate brand that can offer something as good but cheaper
