Skincare Sunday: Naturaline Swiss Cosmetics Review

It’s no secret that I love trying out new product lines so when this line landed on my doorstep a little while back, I couldn’t wait to get stuck in.

Again, it’s no secret that I am a skincare junkie. I’m always on the look out for the next best product or treatment to try. Whilst I have incorporated a few cosmeceutical grade skincare products to pack a punch for cleansing and in terms of serum etc. I think that using more gentle, natural based products in other areas is never a bad thing.

Using natural, plant-based raw materials the Naturaline range is gentle and effective. There are no silicones, no synthetic perfumes or colourants and no mineral oil based ingredients. Furthermore, the brand pledges to use environmentally friendly technology processes whilst manufacturing and to use ingredients from renewable sources.

The product line is extensive and I have been fortunate enough to have road-tested many of the products within the line.

The first product that I tried, and the best of the line for me was the Aloe Vera Eyebright Eye make Up Remover. I had been in the market for a new eye make up remover which was gentle but effective enough so that I didn’t have to pull at my eyes etc. This remover is oil free and removes water-soluble eye make up with ease. The lotion feels so gentle on my eyes that it feels like I’m simply using water. I’m a huge fan and at just £8.99, it’s a lot more affordable than my Clarins or Chanel counterparts.

The next product that I tried was the Cucumber Guava Facial Wash which is also priced at £8.99. The first thing that struck me about this product was the clean and fresh scent which I thought would be perfect for using in the shower in the morning to wake me up. The gel wash lathers up nicely and really feels refreshing on the skin and doesn’t leave any tightness like some other washes can. Will it replace my Image Vital C Cleanser? No. However, if you want a simple, fuss free, refreshing cleanser, this is perfect! I just want a  my cleanser to do a bit more work, that’s all.

Next up was the Alpine Rose Day Cream which is slightly more expensive at £13.49 for 50ml. I don’t tend to invest in moisturisers when it comes to skincare, my rationale being that the serum is what should be doing the majority of the hard work. This cream is rich in consistency and has a lovely light rose scent.  The day cream contains organ and alpine rose extract which provide intense nutritional care for dry skin whilst also fighting free-radicals. I found that this product was absorbed easily by my skin and had a really good effect on the dry areas of my skin which were much more moisturised after use. I would definitely recommend this product.

The final skincare product that I tried out was the Pomegranate Liposome Eye Cream which is £8.99 for 20ml. Up until recently, I had been using Origins Ginzing Eye Cream in the morning to brighten and moisturise my eyes which I had really enjoyed. The Naturaline version is designed to invigorate the sensitive eye are whilst hydrating and reducing the appearance of fine lines. The presence of pomegranate means that this eye cream is high in anti-oxidants which is never a bad thing as far as I am concerned. I used this daily for around 2 weeks, gently patting in the product as I would any other eye cream. I found that it soaked into my skin well and had a really nice brightening effect. I won’t get rid of my more intense (and eye waveringly expensive) Sisley Eye Cream just yet as I like to use a more intense eye cream at night whilst my skin heals and rejuvenates, but this is a perfect eye cream for day time for me!

In all, I was really impressed by this new line. I thought that the products were really lovely to use and so affordable. The packaging was clean and fresh and had a real natural feel to it in line with the brand’s ethos.

Do you use natural skincare products? What are your favourites?

Thanks for reading!
