Skincare Sunday: Sarah Chapman Skinesis Intense Hydrating Booster

Hello lovelies!!

It’s been a long week since I got my last post up. I’ve found it so difficult since I started the blog to maintain any kind of consistency. My job and personal commitments can be pretty demanding, but I would really love to work on getting posts out more consistently and often. Hats off to any of you wonderful bloggers out there who can maintain the balance! I’m in awe of you!

This week’s Skincare Sunday is all about hydration as I share my views with you on Sarah Chapman Skinesis Intense Hydration Booster.

I had some SpaceNK points that were about to expire since Christmas and I got an email offering £15 off orders of £60 or more so I quickly hurried over to the site and placed this and a Talika sheet mask in my basket, coming to a grand total of £16 with the discounts, bargain eh?

I had recently used up my favourite Clarins Hydraquench serum and wanted to try something different but with similar properties which was what led me to this product.

The intense hydrating booster claims to be a multi tasking serum that can be used both morning and night, designed for stressed, dry and unbalanced skin. The blurb states it will inject non greasy hydration, helping your daily moisturiser to work more efficiently whilst also activating the skin’s natural defences.

The first thing that struck me about this product was the packaging. It looks and feels very luxurious with a heavy weighted bottle and screw top pump/pipette. A word of warning though, once the lid is off, it’s easy to knock the entire thing over and spill it everywhere, or maybe that’s just me?

The serum has a clear, thick yet lightweight, oil texture. I apply this in the morning after cleansing and toning and before my daily moisturiser. It sinks into the skin like an absolute dream! Two-three drops (borderline too much in my opinion) covers my entire face. When I’m applying it, I almost feel like i’m putting too much on, but my skin drinks it up so easily that after 1 minute, there’s not a trace of residue on the skin’s surface and my skin feels silky smooth.

My skin feels and looks more plumped after applying this serum. And my make up applies beautifully afterwards. The thing that I’m most impressed with is how weightless this product feels on my skin. However, the main drawback of this product is the obviously hefty price tag. At £58, it is pretty extortionate, but I think it will last a long time as a little goes such a long way, provided you don’t knock it over when you have the lid off…

I’m pretty sure this has quickly become my favourite hydrating serum over my trusty Clarins one. I almost wish I hadn’t been sucked in, given the price tag, but I’m a huge convert.

What are your favourite hydrating serums?

Until next time!
