A few weeks ago, I shared that my skin had become rather dry of late. With dryness usually comes dullness – an awful combination!! For me, the best way to combat dull skin is to ensure you have a good exfoliation system within your skincare routine so, when the amazing gals at Alpha H sent across the newest launch, an exfoliating and resurfacing cleanser, I couldn’t wait to test it out to see if it could bring back my healthy glow.
Everything that Alpha H seem to touch turns to gold. Their Liquid Gold is second to none at clarifying and brightening the skin and I have heard amazing things about their Instant Facial and Balancing Eye Complex.
So did this new launch live up to the extensive claims?
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing balm is an absolute cult beauty product. I don’t know anybody who has tried it and not loved it, I’m certain that you will find a pot of this cult balm in every skincare guru’s bathroom cabinet. I myself am a huge fan of her skincare products, and find that anything that i’ve tried in the past has truly worked and delivered what it promised.
So, when I was offered the chance to try out the newest launch from the brand, I jumped at the chance.
Is it going to be another cult product?
Recently, I’ve noticed that my skin has been a lot drier. Ordinarily it is normal so when the dryness appeared it was super noticeable to me. I shopped my skincare stash for products that target dryness and I think I’ve found some real dry skin hero products along the way that I just had to share with you!
I’m a skincare junkie. There’s no denying it. And if there is a cure, I actually don’t want it.
Trying out new skincare products and lines is one of my absolute favourite things to do. That joy of discovering a new hero product is so exciting to me. So when the lovely guys at Ophrys contacted me and asked me to try out their new line, I couldn’t say no.
The brand is a dermal skincare company based in Switzerland and the products are all very sciencey utilising the brand’s patented hydration technology, Mini Hax!
So what does that mean?
In a nutshell the products use that gem of an ingredient, hyaluronic acid, except this one is a low molecular hyaluronic acid. Put simply, the low molecular formula penetrates way deeper into the skin’s layers and than a standard hyaluronic acid which means much deeper hydration!
I met with the lovely Adam from the brand a while back and I have to be honest, he was beyond generous when he gave me the samples to try out. I have put them properly through their paces now so I’m ready to share my thoughts! (more…)
I recently shared my first instalment of My Skincare Journey with Therapie Clinic letting you all know what I was embarking upon with them. If you missed it, you can catch up here.
Since then I have had two peels at the clinic in Belfast and I wanted to share a quick FAQ style post answering some of your questions that I’ve had from social media. (more…)
It’s no secret that I love a nice scented product. If a bath and body product is unscented, I’m not naturally excited about it. So when this collection from Crabtree & Evelyn landed on my doorstep recently I couldn’t wait to get a sniff.
I haven’t tried anything from Crabtree and Evelyn before, even though there is a great store at Victoria Square in Belfast who are always advertising lovely treatments and treats for customers. I just never thought about popping in! And I call myself a product-obsessed beauty blogger? Shame on me!
Happy Sunday! Sunday is my favourite day of the week as it is the one day that I try to keep to myself to unwind and recharge from the previous week. Usually that involves a bit of a pamper Sunday too and a treat for my skin.
When I was last kindly sent some goodies by Temple Spa, they included a pot of their popular Repose Aromatherapy Resting Cream which I was intrigued to try as I had seen a lot about it online. I have been having a very stressful time recently Sammy dad is very unwell so was very open to the prospect that a moisturiser could also help me relax.
