New In My Beauty Arsenal: March 2019

It’s not a secret that I’m a bit of a product junkie. When I see something new or just launched, I want to try it. When I see something on Instagram, I want to try it. In short, I’m a marketers dream! So with that being said, it’s no surprise that I routinely have new products in my rotation. Some of which I am lucky enough to be sent, others I pick up for myself!

I love seeing what’s new in other product aficionados beauty stashes so I thought I would share with you all the new products I found myself reaching for the most throughout last month!

NYK1 Secrets Lash Force Growth Serum*

The first product that I’ve been loving is this lash and brow growth serum from NYK1 Secrets which I’ve been using for a couple of months now. Initially I was a bit sceptical about the product as I had tried others in the past to no avail but in the interests of beauty blogging, I gave it a go.

The serum is formulated to encourage blood flow to the hair follicles and ultimately hair growth. It is is infused with B Vitamins which nourish the hairs making them stronger and more healthy which helps to keep them fuller and thicker for longer. Proteins increase follicle production which in turn increases the amount of lashes or brow hairs.  The tube comes with a wand applicator which is a thin, liquid liner style brush making it a doddle to apply the serum directly to the roots of your eyelashes or your brows.

The serum should be applied twice a day (morning and night) for best results and it is really important to be consistent with using the product to achieve good and noticeable results. It is clear and unscented and has been both dermatologically and ophthalmologist tested. At first I didn’t think the serum was doing much for me until I compared my before and after photos and especially when I was wearing mascara. I could noticeably see that my lashes were longer and more voluminous in the after photo.

NYK1 Secrets say that to maintain results you should reduce application to once a day and that your lashes will return to normal if you stop using the product. Although the product is initially quite expensive at £34.95,  a tube should last three months for twice a day application so it seems worth the splurge to me. I’ll definitely repurchase once mine runs out!

Coty Airspun Translucent Loose Setting Powder

It’s taken me far longer than it should have to pick this product up. It’s been a cult product for ages now and constantly pops up on my favourite Instagram accounts with rave reviews. If it’s good enough for the beauty LMD, it’s good enough for lil ole me. I was passing by BTY recently in Belfast and had to call in and pick it up as it was just £13.00 and I was sick of using my beautiful (but very expensive) Magic Powder from Charlotte Tilbury.

The scent of the powder transports me way back to my granny’s make up bag. In a good way. It just smells like 90s make up. If you know, you know. Personally, I love that. Others I know are not as fussed.

The powder comes in a large pot with a powder puff and a deep lid for tapping the powder into. I prefer to use the powder with a brush but the puff is good for ensuring the powder doesn’t spill out whilst in transit.

The powder is super finely milled and sets my face like a dream, giving a smooth almost blurred effect to my skin. It is long lasting and doesn’t need to be topped up throughout the day. I also haven’t noticed the powder drying my (already dry) skin out anymore than usual either. In all, I’m a bit obsessed and certainly won’t be reaching for my more expensive powders on a daily basis anymore.

Synergy Collections Cuore Beauty Sponge*

The final thing that I’m loving recently is this beauty blender type sponge from Synergy Collection’s newest Cuore line. The guys at Synergy very kindly sent me their most recent bundle which includes the cutest little heart shaped powder brush and the beauty sponge which I am seriously impressed with right now. The purple sponge can be used both wet and dry and as expected, expands when dampened yet remains nice and soft and spongy.

The sponge blends contour and concealer with ease and is definitely a much more affordable option to my beloved BeautyBlender at just £4.00!
