Today I thought I would share my top MAC nude lip picks with you all!
I love a nude lip. In fact, I rarely wear anything other than a nude lip. With my skin tone, I prefer to wear the pinky, brown tone nudes, which is something MAC have quite the collection of.
My top nude lip picks from MAC are as follows:
I picked this one up through the Back to MAC scheme, we all love free lipstick right?
This is from the amplified cream range and is described as a soft, beige pink which comes off as a lighter tone on my lips.
The formula is extremely comfortable and moisturising on the lips and just one layer gives me really good opaque coverage. It doesn’t feather and it goes with any look (though I particularly like it with a bold eyeshadow to balance things back out).
This one comes from MAC’s cremesheen range and is described as a neutral muted pink.
I’m a big fan of MAC’s cremesheen formula. It’s easy to wear, gives a nice glossy finish and lasts well on my lips without drying them out. This is the perfect “my lips but better” shade for me.
This one is another creme sheen formula and was one of my first MAC lipstick purchases. This is such a soft, pretty, easy to wear shade that goes with any look. MAC describes this one as a “frosted cool nude”. For me, this doesn’t really describe the shade correctly. I find this shade to be a warm peach with a somewhat cool undertone. The colour payoff is good, but not as opaque as some of the others.
Finally is the infamous Velvet Teddy. This shade was arguably thrust into cult status by Kylie Jenner a few years back. I held off until last year to add it to my collection as it’s more brown toned than I am used to. However, once I tried this product, I found it to be the most lovely shade for Autumn Winter for me. It is from MAC’s matte range, which means it’s a bit stiffer in texture and a good bit more drying. However if I wear a lip balm under this, I find the drying effect to be minimal.
What are your favourite nude shades from MAC’s collection?
