I will admit it- I have never once tried a beauty subscription box. I have looked into many and completed plenty of research but the element of surprise and potentially getting a load of products I had little to no interest in each month put me off.

Also, some of the subscription boxes can be seriously spendy so I simply didn’t bother. Then the wonderful gals at Latest In Beauty gave me the chance to build my own one off box to try it out, it would have been rude of me to turn it down!

So what is Latest In Beauty and how does it work?

Latest In Beauty have tailored recommendations based on the beauty profile that you set up at the beginning of the process meaning if skincare is your jam, you’ll see the skincare offerings first.

You can choose 3, 6 or 9 products from their extensive range which covers haircare, perfume, skincare, bodycare and makeup in your own customised box. Alternatively, if you don’t want to subscribe to a monthly box, you can opt for one of the site’s one-off boxes.

Every so often, the site showcases their very own ‘Brand of the Week’. On the week that it was my turn to build my own box, the brand showcase was Caudalie so I was somewhat excited to try several products from their range as I love their facial spritz.

There are three subscription levels with Love Me Beauty:

1. Beauty Novice – choose your three favourite products that month for just £9.00 per month;
2. Beauty Enthusiast – choose your six favourite products that month for just £15.00 per month; or
3. Beauty Guru – choose your nine favourite products that month for just £18.00 per month.

You can also get a one-off box for any of the above for £16.00, £22.00 and £25.00 respectively.

All monthly subscription boxes come with free delivery and you can unsubscribe at any time which I am always a fan of.

The site houses some amazing brands including Caudalie, St. Tropez, Bellamianta, Neom and Kevin Aucoin to name a few!

So what did I get?

I picked up the following products for my box:

2. Caudalie Foaming Cleanser 50ml;
3. Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Essence 50ml;
4. Caudalie Cleansing Oil 30ml;

Merci Handy Flower Power Refreshing Face Mist 30ml; and
