I’ve mentioned before that life has been somewhat stressful recently at LLBL HQ. The result is that I can often feel like I’m drowning and the amount of directions I’m being pulled in can get a tad overwhelming. With that in mind, I have been making a conscious effort to take a little time each week just for me to do things that I enjoy and that help me to relax such as writing blog posts, playing with make up, taking product photos, having a bath etc.
A bath for me is a sure fire way to ensure I relax. If I take one before bed, I drift off to sleep with ease. Recently I have discovered this bath oil from Olverum* and had to share my thoughts!Olverum is a highly concentrated, therapeutic bath oil which contains 10 essential oils blended together which delivers the most amazing scent that fills the entire upstairs of my house after use.
First of, the packaging is simple yet luxurious. A glass bottle with a bit of weight behind it, embossed with the brand’s logo.
The formulation of the oil has remained relatively unchanged for over 80 years. The aromatic blend of essential oils combine to ease stress and tension, soothe aching muscles, aid sleep and open the airways – all whilst uplifting the mind and body. The scent is to die for. Very intoxicating. I can easily pick up the notes of eucalyptus (perfect for colds), rosemary, pine and lavender.
Thankfully, the oil is a non greasy formula which cannot be said for all bath oils. My skin drinks the oil up and is left silky smooth at the end of each bath.
Because the oil is so concentrated, you only need the smallest amount (half a cap is enough) per bath which means that a bottle will last you for a very long time. Don’t be tempted to over do it, you really don’t need to with this oil.
The benefits of this bath oil can really be felt. It has certainly helped relieve my stress levels and has promoted better sleep any evening I have used this.
Available online from Olverum, Harvey Nicholls and Fenwick. The price for 125ml (enough for 25 baths) is £29.00, 250ml (enough for 50 baths) is £53.00.
