Right, it’s no secret that I love a good cleanser. It’s a bit of an obsession actually and balm cleansers are one of my favourite little luxuries in my routine.
I love the feel of massaging a beautiful balm into my skin and really deep cleansing. Over the last year or two, I have tried a lot of different products (all in the name of research of course…) and I have come across some absolute gems during the course of that time.
Sit back and get comfy, here are my top balm cleansers of the moment!
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm*
It will be no surprise to many of you to see this product pop up.
(A) Emma Hardie is fast becoming one of my favourite skincare brands and
(B) this cleansing balm has cult status far and wide and has had for many many years.
The balm is so smooth and easy to work into the skin, smells unreal with it’s mix of essential oils and seriously conditions and nourishes the skin as it cleanses.
The balm breaks down make up and daily grime with ease. Rose oil and Vitamin E rebalances the skin leaving it impeccably radiant and glowing whilst the essential oils work at nourishing the skin and minimising the appearance of open pores. A luxury product that is worth the hype!
Temple Spa In the Beginning Deep Facial Cleansing Melt*
Another not so surprising choice! If you have been following my blog and social media for any length of time, you will have seen me declaring my love for this product on numerous occasions! I even have a full, in-depth review on the blog here.
Because of the beautiful scent and luxurious feel, this is my go-to pamper night cleanser. In the Beginning is a concentrated balm which quickly melts down into an oil with tiny little beads to gently exfoliate the skin as you massage the product in. Vitamin E and Calendula oils deeply nourish the skin as the cleanser breaks down dirt and grime. After use, my skin is soft and hydrated and feels like it has received a real treat!
Recently, the team at Temple Spa very kindly surprised me with a huge, personalised super sized pot of the cleanser so I am adequately stocked up going forward. Sadly this is no longer available online but you can pick up the regular size of the balm (75g) for just £30.00 on the Temple Spa site. It will forever be in my collection!
Pixi Beauty x Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse
Caroline Hirons is a skincare guru. In fact, she is THE skincare guru. So when she collaborated with Skincare giant Pixi and put her good name to this cleanser, I knew immediately that I would love it.
The cleanser packaging is split in two. One side houses a cream cleanser whilst the other houses a solid balm cleanser. The balm’s ingredients includes Vitamin E (I’m seeing a theme here…), camelia oil and evening primrose to improve the skin’s elasticity, heal and nourish whilst breaking down make up and dirt at the same time. The cream prepares the skin for the next stage in your routine with Vitamin C and peptide complex to encourage collagen production (yes please), cell renewal and diminish the look of fine lines.
I tend to reach for this cleanser the most if I’m really honest. The fact that it contains both stages for double cleansing in the same pot makes it super easy and convenient to reach for. My skin loves the products which feel both effective and super gentle. If it’s good enough for Her Highness Hirons, it’s good enough for me. FACT.
Antipodes Grapeseed Butter Cleanser*
Another brand I fell head over heels for last year was Antipodes. Their products are all natural, organic and an absolute dream to use. I loved them so much that I also posted an entire brand focus post here.
The Grapeseed Butter Cleanser is another dream to use. Infused with cacao butter, olive oil and grape seed oils, this cleanser is super hydrating and nourishing. The consistency is super thick and takes a second to warm up between the fingers but once done, it leaves the skin feeling thoroughly clean and treated.
Like In the Beginning, the balm contains tiny little granules to achieve a gentle exfoliation and brightening of the skin. My skin never feels stripped or tight after using this product and I’ll never be without this product either.
