For any of you that know me, you will know that I am obsessed with my little dog, Ruby. She’s honestly the best friend I’ve ever had. She’s loyal, fun affectionate and is always happy to see me. Mr Lynsey and I treat Ruby like our child. We just dote on her and while some people will roll their eyes and think we’re those “crazy dog people”, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Needless to say when Christmas rolls around, Ruby isn’t left out of the festivities at our house and has her very own little stocking on the fireplace that we fill with goodies for her.
So if you are dog obsessed like me, here are my top picks for Christmas pups or even some ideas to treat your dog in the New Year!
Christmas is my absolute favourite time of the year. I am genuinely that annoying person that starts talking about it at the end of Summer. I just can’t help myself. It’s just everything about the season that excites me – the lights, the food, snuggling on the sofa with a Christmas movie, the aroma of a Christmas candle wafting through the house, I could go on forever.
So what better way to start the Christmas month off than with a good old fashioned Christmas tag!
I do enjoy a good designer accessory. However, as I have just began my apprenticeship to train as a solicitor this year, all such spending has been put firmly on hold until I qualify. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t continue to dream/lust….

The family and I recently took a trip to Aether & Echo to try out their recent Groupon offer (just under £60 for a starter, steak meal with sides and 2 bottles of wine for 4 people FYI).
Little makes me feel more polished (pardon the pun) than having my nails done. I have been going to Sinead at Pretty Polished for around 9 years now, and I honestly can’t say enough positive things about her and her work.
Last week, I was very excited to attend the Kiss Products Summer Party on the rooftop of The Merchant Hotel in Belfast. I’m still a relative newbie in the blogging scene, so when the invite popped up in my emails, I nearly fell off my seat!
Recently I have been eating out quite a lot – good for the yummy food but bad for the waistline and bank balance.
A few weeks ago, I took my sister to Made in Belfast, City Hall for a pre theatre feast before going to watch The Woman in Black at the Grand Opera House (side note- it was very good).
Belfast has some wonderful restaurants to choose from and with that in mind, when I’m going out for a meal I always try to go somewhere new. I was still feeling the post-Christmas pinch recently (eek) and a meal with my best friend usually involves the wine costing more than the food, so we decided to look into BYOB restaurants in Belfast City Centre.
We decided to go with The Lantern, ideally situated on Wellington Place, and only a short walk from both of our offices.
Brows are now undoubtedly a “thing”. Many moons ago, when I first started learning about make up, brows were not a focal point, the only thing that I had to ensure was that they were tidy and there was no mono-brow. As it happens, that wasn’t an issue for me, given the fact that I had plucked my brows to within an inch of their life and thought they were amazing. They weren’t. But that’s besides the point.
