We’re a month into blogging now, and onto the fourth and final installment of my holiday wish lists, the duty free wish list. This time next week, I will be mid air on my way to Orlando (Eeek!!!). That is after having spent most of the rent in duty free of course. This is what I have my eye on….
Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia Cologne
We’re flying from Gatwick, and while that can be a bit of a pain when you’re travelling from Belfast, it has it’s perks, one of which is Jo Malone at duty free. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I have a huge JM obsession that appears to be growing at an alarming rate. There is a list of colognes and bath products as long as my arm that I want to pick up and it seems like every time I visit the store, I discover another scent I love. No holiday is complete without a new fragrance picked up from duty free. You can wear it for the duration of your trip and then every time you spritz it after, it brings back those wonderful holiday memories. JM is well known for their scent layering and I often see this scent pop up as a good pairing with other scents that I already own. I have spritzed it a few times in store and I really love it, it’s light, fresh and smells divine when paired with JM’s latest Mimosa & Cardamom cologne.
Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay Shower Oil
I have tested the Peony & Blush Suede shower oil in store during one of JM’s excellent hand and arm massages and was staggered at not only how far a small amount of this product goes, but by how much moisture it injects into the skin. Blackberry & Bay is one of my favourite autumnal scents and using this in the bath or shower will be a real treat. You can apply the oils either to dry skin for a pre-shower massage effect, or you can use them on damp skin to create a wonderful lather, I may even use it for shaving my legs on those nights when I fancy a real pamper!
MAC Strobe cream
No trip to duty free is complete without a visit to MAC. If I can get my hands on the travel size version of this, I will pick it up. It’s another cult product that I have just never got around to buying before. MAC gave me a little sample pot a few months back and I actually quite liked it, but I don’t think I had enough product to form a real opinion on it. I’ll let you know my thoughts.
Chanel CC Cream
I absolutely adore Chanel (who doesn’t right?). Their packaging is always slick and luxurious and I’ve never been disappointed with any of their beauty products (knock on wood). This cream boldly claims to correct, smooth, moisturise, protect and perfect. It has SPF50 and has been described as lightweight and fast absorbing and will therefore be perfect to have to hand in the hot and humid Florida heat. I have seen swatches online and it seems to give a semi-matte but luminous finish, if that makes sense, which I think will be lovely on holiday.
Estee Lauder Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter
That name is a bit of a mouthful isn’t it? But it includes several of my favourite words! At first glance, this seems similar to the YSL Touche Eclat, but this product isn’t solely a highlighter as it is said to possess some solid concealer clout, while at the same time, being moisturising and non-cakey. Sounds like a dream product right?
Should I add anything else to my list? A travel exclusive set perhaps? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
