Palmers Coconut Firming Range Review

I’ve recently joined the gym. I haven’t exercised in longer than I care to admit and even walking up a few flights of stairs was becoming a bit too laboured for my liking.

Summer is the perfect time to introduce healthy changes to your lifestyle in my opinion. It’s just so much easier in the bright evenings to lift yourself off the sofa (and away from the biscuit tin) and go to the gym.

That being said, I’m far from at the point where I’m feeling toned and firm so a little extra help on that front is never going to be sniffed at by me! Enter Palmers new firming range!

Palmers are renowned for their cocoa butter formulations. I always have a bottle to hand on holiday as (a) it smells divine and (b) it injects more moisture into my skin than any other product and in turn prolongs my tan.

I particularly like that the range is natural and completely free from harsh chemicals, parabens and sulfates.

When I seen this firming range I couldn’t wait to try it out, and in particular, the Coconut Oil Body Firming Sheet Mask!

Each sachet contains two sheet masks which are sized to fit the curvy areas of the body such as the thighs, arms, etc. Each sheet is drenched in firming and smoothing ingredients which encourage blood flow such as Brazilian Guarana (more powerful than caffeine) and Cupuacu promoting a more slender appearance.

I think these masks are great for smoothing the skin and promoting a healthy look. That being said, it’s unreasonable to expect miracles. I really like the concept, and for me, I think the masks would be perfect for use before a big occasion to improve skin tone etc. They are mess free, easy to use and deeply hydrating! The level of hydration injected into my skin was amazing and that benefit outweighed the firming claims for me personally.

The second product in the coconut oil firming range is the Anti Oxidant Firming Lotion. I was a little bit apprehensive about this product to begin with as, in my experience, Palmers lotions are incredibly rich and can take a while to sink in- not something I look for in the morning as I’m rushing out the door. Thankfully, this lotion is much more lightweight than I expected and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy or heavy residue behind.

Asides from the deeply hydrating and nourishing coconut oil, the lotion contains seaweed to help with fluid retention, sweet almond oil to promote elasticity and caffeine to promote circulation.

I have used this lotion consistently for a few weeks and I must admit, I can see a difference in my skin tone as well as moisture levels. Am I a toned goddess? No. Don’t be silly. But I do think this lotion helps the appearance of my skin by plumping and increasing blood flow. Generally promoting an overall look of radiance and health.

Next time I’m off on my holidays, I may pack this lotion instead.

Have you tried a Firming lotion before? Or a body sheet mask?
