Hello lovelies!
It’s no secret that I love a good face mask. I have an impressive little stash under my bathroom cabinet at the moment and one I’ve particularly enjoyed using is the PTR Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask.
I picked this mask up in the States when I bought the Mask-a-holic gift set, a huge bargain at $75 dollars for 5 generous sized pots of the 5 best selling masks, which you can still get here. I have raved about the Pumpkin enzyme mask already, here, and I thought I would share my thoughts on this one also.
PTR claim that this black mask is a purifying, decongesting and hydrating mask which contains Irish moor mud that draws out impurities whilst simultaneously injecting the skin with vitamins and moisture.
The first thing I noticed is that this mask is totally scent free. This for me personally, is slightly disappointing, as I’m a scent person. But it’s certainly not an issue and if you’re sensitive to scents, it will be a bonus for you.
The mask itself is a thick black clay like mud, and similar to the Pumpkin enzyme mask, a little goes a very long way. I am particularly fond of the fact that, unlike most other mud masks, this one doesn’t dry hard and right on the skin which makes it feel more nourishing.
Ingredient wise asides from the purifying Irish moor mud, the mask is formulated with nourishing, vitamin enriched Hijiki Seaweed as well as detoxifying and healing volcanic ash.
I apply a thin layer of this mask to freshly cleansed skin, once a week. I leave it to work its magic for ten minutes and then wash off with a wash cloth.
Once removed, I’ve found that my skin feels smooth and nourished. It looks clear, clean and my pores look more refined.
Have you tried any PTR masks?
