When you said HD Brows to me in the past, I thought brow treatment, not make up products. However, the brand has a huge cosmetics line including not only brow products, but base, eye and lip products too!
Over the past few weeks I have been trying out one of the most recent launches in the HD Brows make up line, their Lip Define pencils, and I’m ready to share my thoughts with you all!
A little while back I almost collapsed with excitement when I seen an email from IT Cosmetics in my inbox asking if I would like to try some products! The brand had been on my radar for quite some time and I had always meant to try it out any time that I was in the States. When I had seen that it had finally launched in the UK, in store at Boots , I had already been planning my purchases.
The brand very kindly sent me out two of their products to test out for myself: the Naturally Pretty Matte Luxe Transforming Eye Shadow Palette and the Hello Lashes 5 in 1 Mascara.
So, were they hits or misses?
Sleek have been one of my favourite budget discoveries this year! Their products are super affordable but they don’t skimp on quality. The brand is one of the fastest ever growing beauty brands and it seems like there’s always something new being launched. That being said, I thought I would share some of the most recent launches with you all.
So what’s worth checking out?
I was somewhat late to hop on this bandwagon but Deciem brand, The Ordinary quickly became one of my favourite brands. Their extensive skincare line at ridiculously affordable prices have gradually been reeling me in over the last year. On top of this I had also seen a lot online about both of the brand’s foundations so thought that it was my beauty blogger duty to make a purchase and road test them for you. I know, I’m far too kind to you all…
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t really tried out liquid eyeshadows before. I had been lusting after the Stila shadows for quite some time and had been toying with the idea of picking some up when these beauties from Phase Zero landed on the doorstep! Coincidence eh?
Love Me Beauty is a membership site which offers factory prices to members on a number of brands. It costs £5.00 per month and has a minimum contractual period of three months. However, you can still shop the site without a membership, you just won’t receive the massive discounts.
I couldn’t wait to get stuck into playing with these shadows and to create some different looks. I was kindly sent five shadows in total, three from the Coconut Range and two from the Metal Veil Range.
So what were my thoughts?
For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you will have seen that I was recently fortunate enough to have been invited along to a BareMinerals masterclass at Debenhams, Castlecourt.
The evening was so lovely with the wonderful team from the counter looking after us by plying us with plenty of prosecco, delicious cupcakes and yummy chocolates! The brand’s lovely representative Kerri, showcased a masterclass using many of the brand’s cult products. I particularly liked the fact that it was a really interactive demo and Kerri and the staff were excellent at answering any questions we had about the products. To be honest, I had never tried anything from BareMinerals even though I had coveted their products at the counter a tonne of times so I really enjoyed learning all about the brand and its ethos.
At the end of the evening we were very kindly provided with an extremely generous goodie bag and were told that we would be colour matched in order for us to try out the BarePro foundations for ourselves! I was SO excited!
Bridgin from the counter expertly matched me to the shade Sandalwood (which would be my ‘tan’ shade) and when it arrived in the post a few weeks later, I couldn’t hold my horses and had it on my face almost immediately!
Perhaps the most hyped concealer of the decade, Tarte’s Shape Tape had been popping up everywhere in the past year. I tried to get it when it first came out but it was seemingly always sold out for the first few months. I held off and I held off. Then, on Boxing Day last year, an email from Tarte popped up in my inbox offering free international delivery and a 20% off sale. It was time, I couldn’t resist.
So is it worth all of the hype? Is it really as amazing as seemingly everybody claimed?
